POSTPONED: Our presenter had something unexpected come up, and is no longer able to attend. We'll be rescheduling this workshop for a later date.
Ever wanted to build your own Ruby gem, but weren't sure how to get started?
At this workshop, we'll walk through creating a simple gem from start to finish, demystifying the process and showing attendees how they can make their own Ruby gem contributions.
All skill and experience levels are welcome!
Pizza and beverages will be provided, courtesy of Ten Forward Consulting.
We'll have socializing and networking from 5:30pm to 6pm; you're welcome to arrive anytime in that half hour. Fred's workshop will begin at 6pm.
There is parking in the lot behind Ten Forward's building (accessible via Segoe Road) and on the streets next to the building, which has a wheelchair accessible entrance in the back (by the parking lot). Ten Forward is near stops for the #2, #14, #10, #15, #70 and #6 bus routes. The doors lock at 6pm, so please try to arrive before then.
The building is accessible, and has gender-neutral bathrooms. While we won't have activities specifically for children, they're always welcome.
