What would you like to learn or gain from participation in Mad-Railers?

I would like to see what applications it is used for and how it is quicker and easier to code over Java and others in many instances.

What's your background with Rails and similar tech?

I almost took the course while still at Madison College. I am going over it for one week in my current Lakeland College course

Are you working with Rails professionally?

No. Mostly Java and SQL.

I am a graduate in Computer Science and working full-time in Digital Marketin at Bruker-AXS, a analytical instrument maker. I am interested in new opportunities in Software Development. Ruby is new to me and seems to be a great open-source language.

What James W. is saying about this Meetup Group

The meeting room on 3rd floor is perfect. Nice big screen for presentations.
