Meet Ernie Gygax!

The fine folks at Gamehole Con have arranged to have one of their Special Guests for Gamehole Con 2014, Ernest Gygax Jr., stop by the store on Saturday August 2nd from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Ernie will be on hand to sign copies of his charming children’s book, “Sammi-Zowa versus The Dueling Dragons” (you can purchase a copy here at the store), and to play a game with anyone interested. He will also be ready and willing to chat about the history of Dungeons & Dragons! As some of you may know, when his father Gary was in the process of creating D&D, it was initially called “The Fantasy Game”. Ernie and his younger sister were the very first playtesters and it was Ernie and his sister who selected “Dungeons & Dragons” to be the name of this soon-to-be-iconic game. Ernie’s first character, a wizard named “Tenser,” is now the stuff of legend. So, please plan on stopping by to say hello to Ernie and to spend a few minutes with a true legend of tabletop gaming!
