MadTown Tech's mission is to build upon an already great software community. This groups mission is to develop a peer group of developers, architects, and managers who are interested in learning, sharing and growing their knowledge and capabilities.
The group's vision is to provide members with a forum to hear top industry experts speak, learn and teach others who are interested in the same technologies as you and are facing the same challenges.
MadTown Tech is a full stack group and topics and technologies will vary; including the .NET, Java, Angular, React, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, AWS, and other technologies that really seem to hit home for several of our members.
All in all, the purpose of this group is to bring technology enthusiast together.
The group is free to join and we will meet the 4th Wednesday of each month (outside of November & December). We will meet from 5:30 - 7:30* (sometimes longer due to conversations)

Event Driven Architecture with Kafka and Containers:
Enterprise architectures are changing - becoming more real-time, more agile, and more complex. This session will explore these new patterns and their supporting tools, from introduction through to key challenges, sample code and modernization strategies.
Tracey Barrett has twenty years experience as a Java Developer, Application Architect and Agile Project Leader. Along the way she’s built some very big systems, including Hertz.com’s first online reservation system, a bedside patient monitor for GE Healthcare, Aurora Health Care’s patient portal, and H&R Block’s first mobile tax prep solution.
Now, as Managing Director of NVISIA, she oversees all of their projects and consultants in Wisconsin. She is also the Organizer of Milwaukee Agile.
