Partially at least, this meeting will become a recap of the B-Sides IA (http://www.bsidesiowa.com/) conference. The rest will unfold, as it usually happens, according to the needs and wishes of the attendees.
For the new members, the meetings tend to be very informal, but they tend to focus on security well into the night. With 5 in attendance last week we had pentesters, security and dev. managers.
The topics ranges from the recent CCDC competition, to asset valuation, to scoping and managing security assessments, to reporting security to anyone from cross-silo technical peers to sr management and audit boards.
For the more technically oriented, the CCDC discussion dove deep into what it takes to compromise actively managed machines, manage persistance and attempts at securing and cleaning up the services.
Hope to see you soon,
