  • Escape in Time, Escape Room Experience Meetup #2

Escape In Time - Escape Rooms

    $18.00

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING - PREPAYMENT REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT! 8/5/19 Update: I've booked the room for Alien Autopsy at 7:30pm on August 23rd. We had a great time last time, so I'm hosting another event at Escape in Time on the west side of Madison. https://www.escapeintimemadison.com/ I picked up a Groupon again and have a couple replay tickets, so all who are coming can enjoy at a discounted rate. I'm reserving for 6 and we'll split the cost, so that would be about $18/person including tax, instead of the normal $32/person with tax. Groupon deal only includes Alien Autopsy, Captain's Cove, Eat or Be Eaten, and Water Landing. We did Captain's Cover last time so the choices this time will be: Alien Autopsy has times at 7:30pm or 9:30pm. Eat or Be Eaten has times at 7:30pm or 9:30pm. Water Landing 6pm, 8pm, or 10pm I'm thinking probably a 7:30pm or 8pm would be best. They recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to sign waivers and receive orientation. Please comment which room and time you'd like to do. I'm thinking Alien Autopsy at 7:30pm If people are interested, we can go to Schwoegler's before the event to have a get-to-know-each-other, and maybe some food or a couple drinks again. ALL RVSP'S WILL BE REQUIRED TO EITHER SEND ME PAYPAL OR PAY ME IN PERSON BEFORE THE EVENT (unless you have a replay ticket). I will send a private message to arrange payment after you RSVP. Last time I hosted I had attendees pay me day of the event, but I had a couple people drop out last minute, and I had to scramble to find replacements. So that's why I'm requiring payment upfront this time. If you don't respond to set up payment and/or don't send payment, you will be removed off the RSVP list.

  • La Kitchenette Brunch Meetup

    La Kitchenette

Update: I've called and secured a reservation for 7 people at 10 am this Sunday. I've been looking for a French cafe in Madison for ages and finally stumbled upon La Kitchenette. This place has an extensive menu: facebook.com/pg/lakitchenettemadison/menu/ including crepes, salmon, croq' monsieur, salads, french toast, etc. I'm looking forward to getting to try this place. I will call tomorrow to attempt to book a reservation for this Sunday around 11 am. If I can't book for this Sunday, I will try to get more information to determine an appropriate number for the event size. For now, I'm going to keep it at 6 people in total.

  • Guided Conservation Park Tour at Cherokee Marsh North Unit Meetup

I hosted one of these in the past for Prairie Ridge Park and absolutely enjoyed the experience. I've checked out Cherokee Marsh Park South before to do photography and saw cranes, turkeys and a variety of birds. Based on the park reviews the North unit is just as scenic. The site information about this tour is at this link: https://www.cityofmadison.com/calendar/conservation-park-tour-cherokee-marsh-north-2 Based on the provided information this will be a casual walk that is guided. The tour will happen rain or shine so bringing an umbrella may be a good option if you're interested. I will keep the predicted weather updated on here to help. The chance of rain is currently less than 20% at this point with the predicted temperature around the high 60s.
