(January 6th, 2015) Current campaigns on Tuesday nights: AD&D, Microlite 74, Fringeworthy, GURPS, and Pendragon.
Here are the games we are starting January 6th, 2015:
Team X-17 (Victor R)
Fringeworthy Classic or Savage Worlds
As a member of IDET, you've been recruited to help explore other worlds, help other alternate worlds with their problems, and face down the menaces that exist on the Fringepaths. It's Sliders meets Stargate SG-1 - with a twist.
Circlet of Power (Tristan P)
Microlite 74, modified
You and everyone else you know has been accused of treason for believing in the old Gods of your ancestors, on the run from the ruthless hunters of the new Order of Light. The Paran Empire has just closed it's borders. The Dwarves of the north are gearing up for war while the Elves seek some peaceable agreement. The magic domains are twisting and warping, what do you do?
In the Clutches of the Witch King (Tony H)
AD&D, 2nd Edition, modified. Characters will be 10th to 15th level.
It is the Third Age, in the year is 2052. It has been 50 years since the fall of Minas Ithil, which is now known as Minas Morgul. Three weeks have passed since Eärnur the King of Gondor rode to Minas Morgul to take up the Witch King's challenge of single combat. No word has been heard of him since. The White Council has summoned you to Gondor to find out what happened to the King and rescue him if he still lives.
Division B (Joel K)
GURPS 4th edition
Welcome to Division B, a section of the FBI which has been designated as the home for those special agents too dysfunctional to make it in the more respectable Divisions. You're tasked with investigating the weirdest and most inexplicable files, the ones no one with any sense of discretion would waste their time with. Despite the implied promise of the supernatural and paranormal, no case that has yet crossed your desk was the result of more than crazy people, pranks, or tabloid sensationalism...
Shadows in the Darkness (Bob C)
AD&D, 1st Edition
Three hundred years ago a centuries-old empire collapsed from internal politics, leaving an imprint on the continent that is still felt today. Ancient forces set in motion during its reign cast a shadow across the nations of the world, even now...
The Sword WIll Rise, Again (Ed McG)
Pendragon, 3rd Edition
Arthur is the High King of All Britain, but there are whispers in the shadows. What of the Orkney clan, and their mercurial, malevolent matriarch? What of the Knight of the Dolorous Stroke, lording over the Wasteland? And where has Merlin gone, leaving Britain without an Archdruid in this time of need? And what exactly to the words of the ancient prophecy mean, "one day, a king will come, and the sword will rise, again"? Continuing the tale of the company of King Uriens and Queen Morgaine of Gorre North of the Wall.
The weekly meetup is a chance to play vintage role-playing games or more modern games which emulate that style of gameplay. If you've never played Original D&D, AD&D 1st Edition, Classic Traveller, or similar games, here's your chance. The list of games varies from week-to-week; open campaigns are encouraged. Look for the Madison Traditional Gaming sign to inquire about more information.
Our regular schedule is:
6-7pm - Gamers arrive; game session set-up; sign-in and socialize
7-10pm - Game sessions
10pm - Pegasus Games closes
There are several restaurants within a short walk from the game store; feel free to bring food to the game, but also be ready to clean up afterwards. Thanks! Hope to see you there!
