Re: [Madison-Traditional-Gaming] Meetup

Let me amplify on that a bit.  There are at this point three types of meetups organized through the site below: Victor's games at Pegasus, George's Borigon games, and a monthly get-together (with at least two games going on) on the third Saturday of every month.  What George is talking about is the latter meeting for this month.  Previous monthly gaming sessions/meetups have been at various Madison Public Library branches, but George has been able to arrange a room at the UW Memorial Union for gaming a week from tomorrow, 9AM 'til closing (1230 AM, IIRC).

Hello Everyone.

My name is Janet and I am new to the list, so perhaps this has already
been covered, but could someone please tell me what this meetup is
about?  I thought the group met 1st and 3rd Saturday at Pegasus games
to play old school RPGs.  I do not see any pending meetups on the
website though.

Also, by way of introduction, I have been playing various
role-playing games since the early eighties (a friend had a
program on the mainframe and we would all dial in, kind of like a
DIKU-MUD before MUD was invented.) as well as various flavors of
D&D and AD&D, Champions, some games invented by friends, the
pre-GURPs version of Recon, lots of MUD in college, some WoW,
and so on.

I met Victor and Nix at Geek.kon at their panel on old school
gaming, and it sounded interesting.

Anyway, if anyone could provide some clue, I would be grateful.

Thanks!

Janet

Victor,

The room is reserved, but they do not assign rooms until the day before
the reservation. Everyone will have to check in Today at the Union, a
sheet describing events located throughout the building. I reserved
the room from 9:00 AM to close.
