Madison Traditional Gaming Update!
June 2012 * Victor J. Raymond, editor

Monthly Meetup Reboot!
Monthly meet-ups of Madison Traditional Gaming are back, after a break since the turn of the year.  The format remains as it was in the past - arrival and set-up starting at 9am, gaming to start no later than 10am.  Lunch breaks are decided by each referee and gaming group.  I'm also looking for people to run different vintage RPGs or their more modern counterparts.  On June 16th, we're at the Hawthorne Branch Library on East Washington.  On July 21st, we're back at the Pinney Branch.

Weekly Campaign Sessions
On Tuesday nights at Pegasus Games, you will find George and myself running on-going campaign games.  George runs Borigon, his own rules set with a variety of settings.  I alternate between Original D&D, Classic Traveller, and Mutant Future.  Generally speaking, we get anywhere from a half-dozen to a dozen gamers showing up to play.  Past the Old School games, Paraj Mandrekar runs GURPS 4th Edition, and we sometimes have other gamers doing their own thing as well.  What I am hoping for is more campaigns starting up - and it looks like there is at least one other Old School game getting going - look at the Pegasus bulletin board for details.  If YOU are thinking about running an Old School campaign, let me know - we'll list it in the calendars for the group.

New Members!
As of right now, we're just under 122 members on Meetup, and 64 on Facebook.  I haven't gone through and cross-referenced them, but no matter how you count it, there are a lot of people who are interested in our kind of gaming.  I want to specifically invite new members to both the monthly meet-ups and the weekly campaign sessions, just to see what's happening.

Newsletter Coming Soon!
I don't want to promise a lot, but I am planning a two page newsletter in PDF format.  It will include upcoming news and information, capsule reviews of new gaming products, some sort of adventure or scenario on the back page (a la the One Page Dungeon contest), and ANYTHING ELSE that seems appropriate to share with all of you.

If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to email me directly, or post a note on Meetup or Facebook.  Thanks!
