November Beginner's Workshop

Once a month we host a Beginner's Workshop for those looking to start knitting or crocheting, and who need a little help getting going. We're happy to help people learn at any of our regular meetups, too, but the Workshops are a time designed for people hoping to learn or willing to teach. We are able and willing to help everyone regardless of prior ability or lack thereof.

We do ask that you bring your own needles/hook and yarn (any worsted weight yarn, and size 7 needles (for knitting) or an H hook (for crocheting) are a good starting point for beginners). And I recommend raiding the library for beginner books, but otherwise we've got you covered.

If you're coming to teach, remember to bring a project to work on as well, we usually have more teachers than learners.

I was talking with a friend tonight who mentioned she would like to learn to crochet. I told her about our beginner workshops, and she will probably be joining us for this event.
