Sencha Ext JS

Pizza and soda provided by Practichem!

In the July meeting, Max Rahder will present Ext JS.

Ext JS is a JavaScript component library. Many frameworks, like jQuery, are DOM-oriented, allowing the programmer to select and manipulate DOM elements. In contrast, an Ext JS application is made up of user interface components and containers -- conceptually similar to programming Android, Flex, or Xcode. Ext JS uses an object-oriented class structure, allowing you to define, sub-class and instantiate objects. Ext JS also has a MVC structure that lets you modularize your application.

Max will go over the Ext JS class system, and show how to code user interfaces using templates, grids, charts and other components. Then Max will build an application using Sencha Architect -- Sencha's visual app builder.

I agree, the presentation was really informative and well presented.
We were very happy to host the meetup, and to give a "mini-tour" of what we are working on.

For those who are interested, we will be presenting and hosting at the Madison Web Design and Developers Meetup on Monday, July 15, 2013

Scientific Instrument Control and Visualization, Featuring HTML5, CSS and JS
    (also, with pizza and soda!)
