Vilas Park run+ dinner/drinks afterward

We're going to do perhaps a 3-6 mile run starting at the Vilas Park

This would be a great opportunity to meet the group, if you haven't had a chance to yet. We're seeing more and more people at the runs, and I hope that trend continues.

The place where we are going after the run is to be decided as a group--the default location is Bluephies on Monroe. I would gladly welcome any other suggestions.

    Regarding extending the run tonight I'm thinking we could meet at the usual spot a little earlier, then run in the opposite direction around Edgewood College and back to pick-up the usual route with everyone else.

    This adds 2.4 miles to the route, making for a 6.28 mile (10k) run in all. We'll meet at the usual spot to start our run by around 6:10 to 6:15. 20 minutes should be plenty for this additional leg.

    Let me know if you can make it. I'll be there for sure!

    Last week some of us had expressed interest in extending this run somehow. I for one would like to aim for a minimum of 6 miles for all of my runs now (or just beyond for 10k). Anyone else interested in doing the same, starting with this week's run?

    Some possible options:

    1) Meet and run from Bettina's (sp?). She is about a mile from the usual starting point, so this would be an easy way to add 2 miles on in all, and give Bettina company along the cold dark way.

    2) Meet and run from somewhere else a mile or so from the usual starting point.

    3) Run a portion of or all of the normal route beforehand.

    All options would mean an earlier start in order to make the usual run start time. Perfectly fine with me!

    Let me know if you are interested and we can flesh out details here or through email/text.
