The Los Angeles Hungarian Language Meetup Group

Special VIP Lunch at Polka Restaurant in Eagle Rock for delicious Polish Cuisine

WHEN:

Saturday, May 19, 2012

11:30 AM

WHERE:

Polka Restaurant

4112 Verdugo Road,

Los Angeles, CA

At this special VIP lunch you will get a chance to meet everybody because we will be switching seats by rotation after the appetizer and the main course. So by changing your seats twice during the meal, you'll get a chance to talk to new people 3 times.

About the food:

I tried Polka Restaurant recently and was enchanted by the delicious food. From pierogi to goulash, red cabbage, and soup - all the dishes I tried were fantastic.

Pierogi (derelye) are dumplings of unleavened dough – first boiled, then they are baked or fried usually in butter with onions – traditionally stuffed with potato filling, sauerkraut, ground meat, cheese, or fruit. Of central and eastern European provenance, they are usually semicircular, but are rectangular or triangular in some cuisines.

You can see the lunch menu here: http://www.polkarestaurant.com/menu/lunch

COST:

The average cost per person here will be about $20 to $25 depending on how much food you order, any beverages, tax and gratuity. Please bring at least $30 in CASH to cover your portion of the bill.

PARKING:

The restaurant is located in a very small corner mini-mall with a few parking spaces. If the lot is full street parking is available. Remember to read the street signs for any parking restrictions. Please meet in front of the entrance about 10 minutes before our 11:30 AM reservation.
