If you are a reader of Make Magazine or a fan of Maker Faire, this group might be for you! Our goal is to bring together people who like to make things, anything from robots to cheese. Bring your ideas, questions, and/or projects and work on them or, jump in on someone else's project.

There are no age or gender limitations, we welcome all!

Learn Carpentry Basics at OC's Largest DIY and Maker Workshop!

In this class you learn the basics of everyday tools on the job, or what you may already have in your home. You will also learn what basic tools you need in your tool box to handle most basic carpentry projects. You will be immediately be hands on with all of the tools, learning their importance, how to use them safely, and how each tool is essential in a basic carpentry job.

Tools include: drill, impact driver, orbital sander, air compressor, speed square, nail guns, pneumatic stapler, and miter saw.
Students will choose between three projects to make and take home. (If you have a specific project in mind, please give us a call and we can let you know if this is something we can do!) This class can be repeated so students can make the different projects and gain experience.

Cost: Member - $152 | Non-Member - $213

Attire: Pants, closed toe shoes, shirt that covers shoulders. No long sleeves or jewelry.

Age: Individual participants in this class need to be 18 years of age or above. Ages 14 to 17 with parent or guardian.

Prerequisites: None

Private 1 on 1 Maker Mentor Session... Make your dream project a reality!

Personal Training and Mentoring Services: You came to Urban Workshop to achieve a result; to successfully complete a project, make a repair to something valuable, or start a business. It is our commitment to you that we will provide as much guidance, instruction, and support as is needed to help you be successful. To do that, we offer 1 to 1 service with our Master Mentors who will work side by side with you to guide you to a successful completion.

It’s the job of our Master Mentors to share their extensive experience and provide personal and specific guidance and training to help you overcome any project challenge. They won’t do it for you, but will provide the expertise and knowledge to quickly and efficiently achieve results. Please keep in mind that you need to be previously signed off in an shop areas that you desire to work in with the Master Mentor.

Personal Maker Mentor services are available to members for $125 per hour in minimum of two hours blocks and can be scheduled through the front desk by calling[masked] or stopping by in person.

Bicycle Maintenance Class at OC's Largest DIY Makerspace!

SUMMER SESSIONS NOW SCHEDULED

Learn how to get your bike into perfect working order and how to keep it that way! Our class will teach you how to perform basic maintenance, how to properly adjust a headset, bottom bracket, derailleurs, brakes and all accessories. Tire inspections and how to change a flat are also covered.
