Bookbinding Junk Journal

Hello I am a member who is keen to do some bookbinding workshops. I am self taught in papercrafting/mixed media and do a whole host of book making with different type of binding methods.

A while ago there was a keen interest in someone doing some bookbinding classes- I have a four week bookmaking workshop now organized.

I have found a place in Tottenham (N17) which is train and bus accessible.  London Underground to Seven sisters then W4, 123 or 243 to the entrance of the ground and a short walk up from the bus stop

This will be a four week Bookbinding workshop.

Day: Tuesdays

Time: 12noon - 3pm

Cost: £15.00 each session

Date: Nov 10th, 17th, 24th Dec 01st

Location: 320 Mount Pleasant Rd, London N17 6HA

To book: You MUST contact Lordship Rec on [masked] .

First two weeks:

Basic stitch, making covers  and using everyday supplies to make handmade books will be done and then a hybrid of each stitch will be explored with participant leaving with two fully complete books.

Third week will be a junk/smash book journal type book binding. Very much encouraging recycling or up-cycling.

Fourth week: Handmade Shaped book.

You will be asked to take basic provision and essential will be provided.

Each week is a stand along project. You DO NOT have to attend all four to make the most of this workshop, Project sheet and  step by step instruction will be given.

To book you MUST contact Lordship Rec on [masked] .

Please do not hesitate to ask any question if you are unsure about any of the the above detail.

Hey, again I am happy to offer art studio space in Islington, it's free and it's off Essex rd close to Highbury and Islington. I current coordinate community craft workshops and would love to host the book binding session. Let me know if that would be of interest on[masked]

I would definitely love to learn some book binding techniques, it would be the net step to make proper albums for my scrapbook pages!
