Non-Members or Future Members of http://MakeHartford.com are welcome to visit, to make some small projects or to make presentations or demos.
Every Wed. night is FREE as our "open house" day of the week until further notice. Try it - take a "maker" test drive any Wednesday. 3-D printing, as available, or just to socialize with the community.
Ever want to come to the space and see what we're up to? Want a tour of the space? Want to meet the members of the space? Great! Our Public night is the perfect time to stop in and to get membership information, to drop off equipment donations, and to chat about art and technology issues. You can also just hang out while people work on their own projects and socialize with other artists, geeks, and makers from Hartford.
A few special Wed. Open House Public Nights will be " Show and Tell " ( S&T) Wed. with special meetups where some people ( You can too !) make short 15 minute presentations of any maker projects. S&T presentations start at 7PM. Often is S&T Nights are the 1st Wed. See meetup calendars. Otherwise, this Public night will be open house but may not have a special presentation.
Making or presentations may start at 7 PM . We often end about 8:30 but can continue late into the evening if we get into some project or S&T presentations.
Some light refreshments may be provided and/or you can bring something.
Snow days, late, cancellations, etc. Staffed , public hours should open doors at 6 PM with socializing and introductions. If we are a little late opening just wait around the locked doors. We are "volunteer staffed". You can check this meetup page & comments for cancellations for late note. We do the best we can on the lowest budget to keep membership costs down. Work and traffic can cause late openings for our volunteer members on duty who open the space as an open source for FREE for our Hartford maker, artistic, and other community.
We're in the basement. Make a U turn getting out of the elevator. Go 20 feet down hall go left . We have signs up around the halls, elevator and big ones at our doors.
You do not need to be a paid member of http://MakeHartford.com for Public Night to attend this event or use some of our equipment. You will still have to have taken the safety courses, precautions, and sign waivers.
Please forward this invite to anyone you know who may be interested in joining this group.
