MakeHartford has been selected as a 2015 Google Maker Camp Affiliate (http://makercamp.com/) site this summer! Google Maker Camp is a free online summer camp for youth with physical “camps” within the community. We will be joining young inventors, artists and makers from around the world to learn, make and share cool lo-tech and hi-tech projects each week. Projects will follow these weekly themes and be revealed during each respective week of camp:
Week 1 - Fantasy (July 6-10)
Week 2 - Funkytown (July 13-17)
Week 3 - Farmstead (July 20-24)
Week 4 - Fun & Games (July 27-31)
Week 5 - Flight (August 3-August 7)
Week 6 - Far-Out Future (August 10 - 14)
We will be hosting camp days at MakeHartford on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
The makerspace will remain open each camp day until 9:00pm for makers who want to stay longer to work on projects or explore new ideas. All campers will need to have a media release signed by their parent/guardian for photos/videos taken as part of our Maker Camp.
