Special buttons can help finish a garment. We'll try different ways to make buttons: polymer clay, knots, possibly wood carving or temari or weaving/crocheting over rings. If you have other ideas to try, bring them in! We'll also talk about ways to make buttonholes and how to sew on buttons securely, since knitted and crocheted and even handwoven garments behave differently than fabric.
Bring in a garment to which to add buttons or a yarn you plan to use for such garment. If you want to bring in string or yarn to share with others as we create buttons, please do so. Trying to match buttons to yarn we've hand-dyed is a definite option.
NOTE: Sorry for the date change from our usual third Wednesday; the organizer/instructor has to be out of town for work that week.
