We are folks who love Michigan's flowing water, who want to help keep our legal access to be on these rivers, creeks & streams by managing the wood blocking navigation in a environmentally sensible way.
We work in small teams on specific segments of our rivers, creeks & streams that benefit from this work. We do this by removing trash and managing the wood with approved methods while respecting riparian (property owners) rights.
Join us if you are able to take the time and have the ability to do this important work. You will need to be able to get into the water (we work from small kayaks) and help reposition wood. Each team needs at least one experienced chainsaw operator and all need to work as a team. This can be dangerous work as we work with large logs and moving water.
We have some waterways that we are maintaining and others that we want to get to. However if you have one you want us to work on we would gladly help get you (and your team) trained and ready to go. If possible we would like to join you on your first outing to make sure things go well.
