***FURTHER UPDATE- NO TICKET?****

D. has kindly offered to call in at the Guildhall to get tickets for those who don't have them but will require payment by PayPal - please see the email I have sent out for further info. Sorry, but if you don't see this until after 9am on[masked], or if you do not have PayPal, you will need to call in yourself or hope you can get one on the night.

UPDATE: ON LINE TICKETS SOLD OUT

As I mentioned in my previous emails, it was strongly advised to buy an advance ticket to ensure entry and also this was cheaper.

The website confirms that the advance tickets have now sold.

However, tickets are available from the box office at the Masonic Guildhall (the venue) between 9 and 4 weekdays, if you are in the town, or there will be limited tickets on the door.

I would suggest if you can get to the box office between now and Friday you do that- or if you can't, arrive on Fridayas soon as you can!

The website link is here: http://worldbeerfestival.co.uk/tickets/

See you there, all being well

This is a privately run commercial beer festival. I've not tried it before but the emphasis is more on beers from different parts of the world- including England, Scotland, Belgium and USA. It may be worth a look.

The venue is the Masonic Hall, very handy for the train station and bus routes along the A6. This building housed the CAMRA Stockport beer festival until the mid 1990s when the festival outgrew the venue and moved to the town hall and eventually to Edgeley.

Tickets are £8 in advance, including two halves of beer and a half pint stein to keep. The price on the door (if available) is £10. Doors open at 5 but come along whenever you can make it.

Food and live music, too.

I'll have to give this one a miss, unfortunately I'm somewhat below par and, much as I love it, beer is probably not a very good idea.

    March 26, 2014

    • Richard

Sorry to hear that, Steve. Hopefully you'll be back on form soon.

Sorry, going to have to duck out, double booked myself, will be riding up to Cumbria on Friday so can't make it!

    March 26, 2014

    • Richard

OK Anita, sorry you can't join us but have fun. Have amended your RSVP

  • Steve

Should be there quite early. How late I stay depends on times of last trains back into Manc!

    March 22, 2014

    • Richard

Stockport is very well connected with Manchester (all passenger trains passing through have to stop there) so the last train is about midnight. Bus 192 runs through the night.

I'll also be heading back to Manchester, might need someone to carry me :p

Welcome to this event, Debbie- just a reminder (same applies to others!)- it is cheaper to get an advanced ticket (see event description)
