Mapping the upcoming EU elections

Qeske Maastricht

As a group, we are going to think about the future of Europe. Discuss the important factors that we think will influence the upcoming European elections. With different data sources, we will map influences and try to make some predictions. Expanding our view on the continuously evolving European Union. Lots of data can be found here: https://www.europeandataportal.eu/en/homepage Europe is for better or for worse and has populations divided. Join us at Qeske for an insightful event. Think of: "... the functioning of the EU hinges on the success of the populist radical right." ( http://www.europarl.europa.eu/at-your-service/en/be-heard/elections) "Migration is one of the most important and divisive issues in Europe today and seems almost certain to dominate political debate in the run-up to the 2019 European Parliament elections." ( http://www.migrationpolicycentre.eu/event/eui-in-brussels-europe-divided-public-attitudes-to-migration-today/) The turnout for European elections is getting lower and lower: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/elections2014-results/en/turnout.html. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=60&v=6bsl3Dkt85s The next European elections take place on 23-26 May 2019 giving all adult EU citizens the opportunity to select who will represent them in the European Parliament.
