We (Mary DeLave and Al Mayberry) give beginning and intermediate East Coast 6 count and Lindy 8 count lessons every Wednesday at the Mill Valley Community Center. Lessons are 6:00-7:00pm for beginning East Coast Swing and 7:15--8:15 for Lindy Hop. No partner needed. The Practice/Dance portion of the evening is from 8:15--8:50. New sessions start every 4 or 5 weeks, depending (see calendar on our website below) We have a unique curriculum that makes it easier to learn.  Each session is progressive and we will be adding new steps every week built up from previous weeks. Drop in's are welcome but if you are a complete beginner please come to the first class of the month. We are open to consider requests and reviews and private lessons.

We also announce Swing Dances in Marin--So stay tuned.

Did you know that partner dancing has been implicated in a plot to keep people young? Yessiree Bob those fancy Psychologist peeps have been doing these experiments with electrodes on dancers cabezas--do ya know what they found out? Well, I'll tell ya--The type of thinking, creativity and body movement involved in partner dancing creates new neural pathways that stimulate healthy brain function and reinforce positive appreciation of life! Do you believe it--you can play around to great music, get excellent exercise AND grow your brain all in one fell swoop?!? Amazing and supercalifragilistic--you can get back to Kansas by clicking your heels!!

See you on the dance floor!
