What we're about

The Women’s Wellness Circle (WWC) in Markham/Stouffville provides an opportunity for like-minded and like-spirited women to connect to greater passion, play and purpose in their lives and to learn about useful wellness resources to live healthier and happier. Each month, a topic in health, wellness or art is presented and includes both educational and experiential elements.

We are celebrating our fourth year in 2019 and welcome women 18+ and older to join us once a month in Markham. It's a time to pause from the busy lives we lead to refuel, learn, connect and just be.

Kirtan - The Beauty and Power of Sacred Sound

55 Albert St

Kirtan is the practice of yogic chanting. "In yoga practice, mantra and kirtan (call-and-response devotional chanting) get short shrift in the West because they aren't well understood, thought they are an integral part of almost every Eastern spiritual practice. They are designed to provide access into the psyche while their underlying mythology helps us understand how our psychology affects daily life." ~ Alanna Kaivalya Yet even without any prior experience or any explanation at all, the participation in Kirtan is powerful in itself. Come and experience this beautiful, uplifting and joyous practice with Anna Leeming accompanied by Tanya Porter. April 26th from 7-9PM @ The Village Hive 55 Albert Street, Markham $20 per person at the door What to bring: come comfortably dressed, water bottle and indoor shoes or slippers.
