Join us for an evening photographing the night sky. We'll show you the best camera settings and techniques for capturing the night sky, with a special focus on the Milky Way.
We'll be photographing on Hoopers Island, in Dorchester County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We'll send the location at which the group will meet, and then we'll carpool to one or more locations from which we'll shoot.
The cost is $99, and the event is limited to 15 people. You aren’t registered until you've paid. You can pay here: PayPal.me/CarolWard4 No refunds unless the event is cancelled by the organizers. If you've paid and can't make it, you can find someone to take your place and work out the payment with them. If it rains or is too cloudy to shoot, we'll reschedule the event and refund your money if you can't make the new date.
Two notes: 1) Please bring a flashlight or headlamp with a "red light" or "dim" setting. You'll need it to see the controls on your camera. 2) Be prepared for insects: long pants, long sleeves, closed shoes (with socks), a hat, and insect repellent. Deet and picaridin are best, and you can apply permethrin to clothing and shoes for additional protection. You can also buy clothing pre-treated with permethrin - see Insect Shield, LLBean, and others.
