    HI,
Lively discussion on an interesting topic.
After our meeting from few questions I felt that you all are wondering why am I asking you to visit the Qur’an exhibition. Well, I always thought our group is always cusrious, intereted in history, culture and ready to acquitre knoledge and learn new things. This exhibition gives historical perspective on Islam, the art and culture of middle east and finally because it is asethetically so pleasing. It is not for any other reasons but the beauty of caligraphy and the illuminations that drives me to tell you all to come and see them.
    Thanks,
    Bharati

Lively discussion with respectful interaction. And, no, I didn't help write Hammurabi's Code. He and I weren't exactly on speaking terms. (I know: I need to get more sleep.)

    To All,
At present Sackler is having an exhibition of Qur’an manuscripts from the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts in Istanbul. This is a rare opportunity to see these manuscripts which are being exhibited for the first time in USA. At this exhibition you will see more than 60 richly decorated manuscripts that span almost 1000 years ( ~[masked]AD), covers vast geographical area of Islamic world (Afghanistan to Turkey), encompass an array of styles and formats, from simple sheets of parchment to large bound tomes. I will be at the Sackler Gallery on Saturday, Dec 3rd, from 1-2 pm and then again from 2:30-3:30 pm. I will be going around the galleries answering any questions from visitors. If you are planning to visit then let me know in advance. I can give you an overview of this exhibtion- ~20-30 min. After tha you can look at the details at your leisure.

Having my foot looked at on Fri. If I'm mobile, I'll be there. Otherwise I will try to communicate telepathically, if I can find the right frequency to use.
