How did you become interested in philosophy?

Hmmm, I never thought about it. I guess as you go through your life, reading, seeing, hearing and experiencing the world around you are going to have some questions. Unless you are ready to subscribe to one of the prepared formulas, such as religion or the existence of a higher power, you are going to find yourself alone, disoriented and maybe even somewhat scared. That, will lead you to search for your own paradigm so to speak. I think philosophy is trying to provide some form of “structure", and define some common denominators for our human experience.

What areas of philosophy interest you the most?

I am an art, history and literature loving physician (psychiatrist) who likes to ponder about serious (and sometimes not so serious:) questions of our existence over a dinner or a glass of wine.
