What we're about

The purpose of a MasterMind group is to get like-minded, positive, proactive people together who want support in their lives and want to support other people’s lives using the power of prayer.

We will meet on a teleconference line every other week on Sunday night at 7pm to read the eight steps into the MasterMind Consciousness listed below and support each other in achieving our goals. We will also find MasterMind partners in this group or in our local communities that we will work with during the week.

A MasterMind Goal Achievers Journal is also a good tool to have when attending this group. The 2019 ones are sold out and the 2020 ones are available any time now! I highly suggest that you order one right away, because they DO sell out FAST! Here is the link to order! https://www.renaissanceunity.org/mastermind-principles

Some people have old ones that they use. I have one from 1994 and I have added a link in this group's Photos section with photos of pages from it to help you get familiar if you have never seen one. https://www.meetup.com/MasterMind-Goal-Achievers-Group/photos/30293084/

Here is some more information about how this type of group originated.

The Master Mind Principle was developed by Jack Boland, who was a Unity minister in Michigan. It is a scientific method of focusing the power of thought for the specific purpose of establishing a direct connection with the MasterMind. As a result, thousands of people have demonstrated dramatic positive changes in their lives and have experienced happy, successful living.

Through the MasterMind Principle, you combine your own strength with that of at least one other person – as well as that of a Higher Power. The principle is based on an ancient premise that the combined energies of two or more like-minded persons are many times greater than the sum of the individual energies involved.

The Master Mind Principles also teaches that other like-minded individuals can believe for you – AND ACCEPT AS TRUE FOR YOU – things you may find difficult to conceive or believe for yourself. Some churches have incorporated the MasterMind prayer into their Sunday services in order to grow the church or bring about other positive changes.

Eight Steps Into The MasterMind Consciousness

I Surrender

I admit that, of myself, I am powerless to solve my problems, powerless to improve my life. I need help.

I Believe

I come to believe that a power greater than myself – The Master Mind – can change my life.

I Am Ready to Be Changed

I realize that erroneous self-defeating thinking is the cause of my problems, unhappiness, fears, and failures.

I Decide to Be Changed

I make a decision to surrender my will and my life to the Master Mind. I am willing to be changed at depth.

I Forgive

I forgive myself for all mistakes and shortcomings. I also forgive all other persons who may have harmed me.

I Ask

I make known my specific requests, asking my partners’ full support in knowing the Master Mind is fulfilling my needs.

I Give Thanks

I give thanks that the Master Mind is responding to my needs and I assume the same feelings I would have if my requests were fulfilled.

I Dedicate My Life

I now have a covenant in which it is agreed that the Master Mind is supplying me with an abundance of all things necessary to live a successful and happy life. I dedicate myself to be of maximum service to God and those around me; to live in a manner that sets the highest example for others to follow, and to remain responsive to God’s guidance.

I go forth with a spirit of enthusiasm, excitement, and expectancy.

I am at peace.

Brunch at the Coffee Bean in Downtown Plymouth!

Plymouth Coffee Bean

Here is another a great opportunity for as many of us as possible to meet face to face and possibly even find MasterMind partners! Our last meeting went very well, so I have decided to host another one! This place has both indoor and outdoor seating and has areas within it large enough to seat up to 10 people. We will sit together as a group to do introductions and do our master minding like we do on the phone, then if people hit it off, they can kind of go off by themselves and talk wherever they want. The menu has breakfast and lunch selections available and they DO cook! Looking forward to seeing everyone! :) A home with coffee. The Plymouth Coffee Bean Co., residing in a converted house that is over 100 years old, opened its doors in 1993 and is Michigan’s longest running independent coffee shop; currently owned and operated by the Hynes family. With over 25 years of experience, we’ve gotten pretty good at what we do – from coffee, to food, to people. We offer traditional and modern espresso drinks using beans roasted locally by Coffee Express Roasting Company, made from scratch crepes, and a large assortment of gluten free baked goods from Rumi's Passion. Almost everything we offer is either made in house, or sourced locally from small business just like ours. As a cafe, we're also a social hub. Every week we hold events such as concerts, open mic's, poetry nights, and art activities to give back to our community in a way that fosters connection and relationships. Even though 884 Penniman Avenue – with its painted plaster walls, trimmed doorways, and worn wood floors – stopped being a family's house a long time ago, it has never stopped housing a family. So, grab a seat on the couch and make yourself at home; we can't wait to see you.
