Where are you in the world of the mathematics?

I have dabbled in almost every form of mathematics. Physics, vectors, calculus, quantum math, real analysis. I have been taught by Newton, Hutchenson, Archimedes, Euler, Descartes. Yet for all that I have seen and read, there are fundamental questions that I have, a point that I am missing which I believe will connect all that I have learned. Why does a circle consist of 360 degrees? Why not more?Less? How does a number create value? Where does this come from? If an imaginary number does not exist as a solution to an equation such as the square root -1, how can the equation, and the result it satisfies exist at all?

Salutations! Whether through coincidence or quantum mechanics, I have found my way here. My passion for mathematics has been tempered by questions, questions, questions. It is my hope that as I learn more, more questions will appear.
