Medicine X is a catalyst for new ideas about the future of medicine and health care. The initiative explores how emerging technologies will advance the practice of medicine, improve health, empower patients to be active participants in their own care, and more (http://medicinex.stanford.edu/explore/).
Such emerging technologies include:
• Digital (e.g., online peer-to-peer healthcare communities, wearables, …)
• Methodological (e.g., human-centered design and innovation, service design, …)
• Cultural (e.g., participatory medicine, doctors and patients functioning as designers, …)
This group is intended to bring together the full spectrum of healthcare stakeholders including ePatients, healthcare providers, designers, technologists, researchers, caregivers, entrepreneurs and local Medicine X Conference alumni. The group will offer opportunities to hear from key members of these communities, experience emerging technologies, collaborate on projects, co-create, co-design, and more.
Please contact the organizers if you would like to volunteer to speak at a meeting or recommend speakers or topics. Contact the organizers also if you are interested in providing a venue for meetings or in being a meetup sponsor, or if you would like to recommend possibilities for either.
