Welcome to Kadampa Meditation Center Denton Branch! Our space is warm and cozy, we welcome you to visit us!

Sunday classes have a fee, however no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. Everyone is welcome!

These classes are perfect for beginners! They provide an introduction to meditation and support for starting to practice meditation, mindfulness, and applying Buddhist teachings in daily life.

Sunday classes include two guided meditations, a talk on Buddhism for everyday living, and time for Q&A. Although part of a monthly series, each class is stand alone. You can drop in at any time. Information on the monthly series can be found below. Class is followed by refreshments for those who wish to stay for more conversation.

Clear methods are simply presented for transforming all life's difficulties into valuable spiritual insights, for improving our relationships, and for bringing greater patience, empathy and compassion into our daily life. For centuries, these methods have brought lasting peace and inspiration to countless people in the East. Now, with this book, Geshe Kelsang shares the immeasurably rich insight of this ancient wisdom to help us find greater happiness and meaning in our busy, modern lives.

Jenny Streit-Horn is the principal teacher at our Denton Branch Center and has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 20 years. She has been a Kadampa Buddhist practitioner for 10 years and finds Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's books and teachings to be remarkably clear and practical. Jenny brings a warm and caring heart to teaching meditation and Buddhism and is studying on Teacher Training Program at KMC Texas.
