Designed to meld with the busy, hectic pace of our lives, Modern Buddhism is a transformative meditation program rooted in the thousand-year-old lineage of Kadampa Buddhism. It is presented for each and every person in order to help them begin, make progress on, and ultimately complete their own spiritual path.

Each class includes guided meditation, teaching, and discussion. You are welcome to attend at any time. No prior experience or commitment is required.

In this drop in class, you will receive commentary and guided meditations from the book The New Meditation Handbook, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. This handbook is a practical guide to meditation that teaches us how to make ourself and others happy by developing inner peace, and in this way making our lives more meaningful. Without inner peace there is no real happiness at all. Problems, suffering and unhappiness do not exist outside the mind; they are feelings and thus part of our mind.
