At one point or another, most people have asked, “What is the meaning or purpose of my life?” From a Buddhist point of view, the answer is fairly simple: To live a meaningful life, we improve ourselves as much as possible and benefit others as much as possible. This is our unique human opportunity; animals cannot intentionally improve themselves or intentionally increase minds such as wisdom and compassion for others.
However, our human life is also very brief and we do not know what will come after it is over. During this six-week course, Gen Nyema will describe how we can build the foundation for a meaningful life by understanding basic Buddhist view and intention.
