Prepare your body and mind for the upcoming work week with a refreshing Sunday morning treat! Based on a mixture of Hatha, Ashtanga, and Mysore lineages, this practice is perfect for the beginner/intermediate student. We begin our practice with a few minutes of breath awareness and Sanskrit chanting, then we focus on one or two specific pranayama (breathing) techniques. Moving into standing and seated asana (posture) practice, we reinforce the connection between body and mind. The practice wraps up with a short seated and instructed meditation.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring any favorite yoga or meditation props. Open Door has mats, bolsters, blocks, and blankets available for use, free of charge.
