As geeks we are often accused of indulging in childish behavior and activities. So let's live up to that reputation and spend a day at the zoo!
We can roar at the lions, hoot at the monkeys, squawk at the parrots and throw peanuts at the rabid animals- I mean teenagers. The Reid Park Zoo has lots of cool animals like tigers, elephants, anteaters, giant tortoises and a really cool collection of reptiles and amphibians.
We will meet at 8:45am and enjoy the Zoo for a few hours and then have lunch in Reid Park where we can play frisbee, Cards Against Humanity, flag football, Magic the Gathering, ect. We can even feed the ducks if people really are desperate to feed something after visiting the animals at the Zoo. Entrance fees for the zoo are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors over 62, and $4 for children 2-14 yrs old. The park is open from 9am to 4pm.
What to bring:
a lunch and water
sunscreen and hats
chairs/blankets for lunch
frisbee, balls, board games, ect
