What we’re about
Calling all Opera Lovers! This is a group for lovers of opera in general and productions of New York's Metropolitan Opera in particular! If you've seen a production of the Met, whether in the actual opera house at Lincoln Center Plaza, via the Met's "Live in HD" in a movie theater, or even online through "Met Opera on Demand", then you are just the person to join this group. We will meet and talk about all things opera including Met productions, current and historic, opera singers, and past and future Live in HD productions. We will be arranging bus trips from the Washington DC area up to the actual opera house in Manhattan, since while watching opera in a theater auditorium can be great, there is nothing quite like seeing and hearing an actual production in the house. Join us if you love opera and want to meet like-minded folks in the DC area!
