Come play badminton at the Sportcenter Kehrsatz (http://www.tennis-kehrsatz.ch) this Wednesday at 8.30 p.m. We are beginner-friendly — we'll even go over the rules if you care to learn them.
(Description updated: brackets denote strike-through.)
I have reserved [three] one court. Ideally, we would play mixed doubles, that is [twelve] four people with an even male/female ratio. Though we are flexible when it comes to gender assignments and will find a way to even out team strengths regardless.
If you don't have a (decent) racket, you can rent one on the spot for 4 francs. Make sure you wear indoor sports shoes, i.e. sneakers with white soles. They don't like it if you stain their floors with black rubber marks — though they'll turn a blind eye if you don't strike them as a regular.
Be there a little earlier so you have time to change. Play starts at 8.30 sharp and we only have one hour. The place is an easy five-minute walk from the Kehrsatz train station, see the map (http://goo.gl/maps/8Dq1z). If you take the S3 train from Bern at 8.02 p.m. (track 1, destination Belp) you'll get there just in time. Walk around the building that says “squash” in big block letters to find the tennis and badminton center behind it.
Each court costs 31 francs to rent for the hour. I'll cancel court reservations if there aren't enough participants by Monday night (as they insist on a 36 hours' notice). I'll sponsor the shuttlecocks (medium-speed nylon ones, if you must know).
