A "Sound Bath Meditation" can be very therapeutic because you’re literally bathed in sound waves. As these sound waves wash over your body they can take you into a theta brainwave state which leads to deep relaxation and healing.
Basically, the sound vibrations help to shift your brain into a more relaxed state, and make it easier to experience a deeper meditation. This type of meditation is wonderful for all types of meditators. But, especially for beginners because if you’ve ever attempted to meditate, you’ll know that the second you try not to think about stuff, is when your brain decides to mentally write a grocery list & think about EVERYTHING! LOL!
However, in a Sound Bath Meditation the mind has something to hold onto. The sound of the bowls, instruments, gongs, etc... helps the mental chatter quiets down quite a bit.
