ERM is the world's leading sustainability consultancy. They appointed a full time Knowledge Manager for the Global Sustainability Program to engage and empower at all levels of the business to ‘walk the talk’.

Susanne Etti is that Knowledge Manager. She has developed and is implementing a strategy and structured program to provide knowledge building opportunities and tools to business leaders and client facing consultants in the area of sustainability.

ERM has diverse communication and engagement channels in place to increase the conversation amongst staff, to share knowledge with the global ERM network and with clients, and to mobilize all staff on key global events. They actively support and reward collaborative behaviour to ensure they provide the best sustainable solutions to their clients and support the culture that every individual is part of a global organization which thinks globally and acts locally.

Susanne will share with us details of the ERM's knowledge strategy for the Sustainability program, and give us some insights about the role of a Knowledge Manager who has a focus on sustainability knowledge and practice.

Presenter Bio

Dr. Susanne Etti is a trained Biologist who earned a PhD in Natural Sciences from the University of Bonn in collaboration with the University of Oxford. She has experience in Academic scientific research and implementing Sustainability, Climate Change and Knowledge Management in global organizations (profit, non-for-profit, NGO).

At Environmental Resources Management (ERM) she is responsible for the knowledge management of the global sustainability program for the global 5,000 employee organization (140 office, 39 countries(. She has published on the role of knowledge management in fast growth service companies and recently contributed to an ARK group report on “Social Strategies in Action: Driving Business Transformation” authored by Dr. Bonnie Cheuk.
