In today's world, complex is the new normal. We used to behave as if the world was orderly and predictable. and complexity suddenly popped up to challenge our established practices. It has become increasingly clear that complexity is the normal state of affairs in any human system and order is only ever temporary. Human systems are dynamic and ever changing, with many potential connections between the stakeholders whose interests are in a constant state of flux.
It is impossible to know and understand everything that is happening at one time and understanding developed now will not necessarily be relevant tomorrow. However action still needs to be taken, improvements made and expenditure justified.
So how do we make sense of multiple fluid perspectives and translate these into knowledge for action?
Your facilitators for this Meetup, Laurel Sutton and Steve Grey, will guide you in a highly interactive session to explore the notion of complexity and how you might apply the Cynefin framework (a Cognitive Edge tool) for "sensemaking" and taking action.
