How do you feel a lack of knowledge management impacts the organisation?

An organisations memory is its accumulated understanding of how it fits within its operating environment. Although more and more organisations are now developing knowledge management strategies and systems I believe that there is a massive opportunity in delivering knowledge management solutions at an individual level.

What constitutes good Knowledge Management practice in your eyes?

Good knowledge management should ultimately allow people to 'pull' the information that they need at the right time and place to support decision and action. Therefore the organisations stored knowledge should be decentralised and available to all. It should also have processes for accountability and traceability. Finally it should promote knowledge sharing and provide recognition to contributors.

What is your Twitter ID if you have one?

I'm a mobile technology coach at strategist with a keen interest in the role of mobile technology in knowledge management.
