What kinds of things would you like to do (eg 3D printing, Arduino, Raspberry Pi)

I have a full electronics lab in my spare room with SMT capability, a RepRap 3D printer, a CNC mill, and am currently building a robotic pick-and-place machine for assembling circuit boards that uses a custom Arduino motion controller and a Raspberry Pi for vision. I've also designed and built Nixie tube clocks, vacuum tube radios, robots, LED lighting controllers, and a six-rotor UAV with pan-tilt camera gimbal.

What's your first project that you can remember (or your favorite)? I.e. "I made an automatic cat feeder that posted pics to the internet" :)

My first project ever was a small robot with wheels and a gripper, that was powered by a breadboard and a Commodore 64. I was probably 12 at the time (this was around 1994), the robot plans were from a book that I checked out from my elementary school library. That book, along with Forrest Mims' Engineering notebook from Radio Shack, got me started down this path, well before the Internet or Make Magazines were available.

31-year old hacker / maker / roboticist / freethinker, currently working in the aerospace industry. I've been designing circuits and writing code for over 15 years. I will be launching a Kickstarter campaign within the next year.
