ASTN ( will showcase some of the newest and cutting-edge Sports Technology companies from across Australia for Q&A sessions + feedback from the recent USA / Australia sports tech trade mission + meet new ASTN Executive Director, Rachel Piastri. It's a Free event.


Speaker #1 --KangaTech 

Founded at the North Melbourne Football Club, KangaTech are a young sports tech company focused on injury prevention in elite athletes. Combining a high-tech testing and training platform and advanced analytics, KangaTech bring together a range of critical, modifiable risk factors with proven association with injury to allow timely and effective intervention. CTO Dave Scerri has been with the company from the start and has overseen the development of the product from a conceptual idea to a platform relied upon daily by elite athletes in Australia and the US.


Speaker #2 --Brooklyn Dynamics Sports

Brooklyn Dynamics Sports Pty Ltd is a software development and sales company, specializing in predictive modeling software, with origins dating back to 2006.  Incorporated, and with offices in Victoria and North America, the company develops and sells software into all sports markets that require the analysis of data. The company began developing predictive modeling, analytical and machine learning software for amateur and professional sports teams after winning a contract to build a system for a professional organization.  Brooklyn Dynamics founder, Cam Potter, was born and raised on the surf coast of Victoria, but ended up at university in the USA after visiting as an exchange student.

Speaker #3 Interchanger

Founder Murray Bird has over 30 years experience working in community AFL and saw an opportunity to digitise the coach's magnetic board and provide real time in match data. Elite clubs use interchanger to manage player load and rotations, connecting to other in match data.  Community clubs love the product for it's simplification of equal game time for all players and accurate record keeping for club policy adherence. Launching as software in 2007, the iPad application launched in 2014, and in 2017 over 500 community teams and 10 AFL clubs are  using Interchanger.  Interchanger are looking to form partnerships to further develop the product for multi-sport use and grow globally.
