This group is for anyone interested in meditation and Buddhist philosophy. It is open to beginners and advanced practitioners. Everybody is welcome.
We meet at the Longchen Nyingtik Institute in Menlo Park under the spiritual guidance of the resident lama, Rigzin Dorje Rinpoche.
Rigzin Dorje Rinpoche has devoted all his life to Buddhist education, he speaks perfectly English and has taught extensively in universities and other Buddhist centers in Bhutan, Nepal, India, Canada, Europe and USA. He is also the founder and head of the Nyingma Institute and the Nyingma Retreat Center in Sikkim (India).
H.E Rinpoche was one of the principal students of the late H.H the Dudjom Rinpoche, the late Kyabje Khentse Rinpoche, Kyabje Pema Norbu Rinpoche, the late Nyingma Khenpo Dhaser, the late Khenpo Wanglo, the late Kaguth Khenpo Khasdrup, the late Sakya Khenpo Rinchen, Gelug Khenpo Tsultrim, Khenpo Jampa Donyoe and especially Kyabje Jadrel Rinpoche. Rinpoche is now the main lineage holder of Dzogchen Longchen Nyingtik and,Dzongchen Rinzin Sogdrup.
Rinpoche travels throughout the year between the Bay Area and his other Dharma centers and retreat centers around the world. Regular classes on Buddhist meditation and philosophy are held when Rinpoche is in town.
