Hi folks, Some of you may have heard rumours of a crisis in masculinity, that men are in danger of decline or that men do loads of bad stuff. Personally, I'm not that pleased with how my gender is being represented and believe that men have a great deal of good to offer the world. For over a century the Women's Institute has been actively and systematically thinking about the needs of women and using their collective combined strength to address inequalities for women where they exist. The results of which have been spectacular.

I am proposing a Men's Institute built on foundations of equality and community action. Orientated towards helping one another, improving the overall wellbeing, building new connections and working together to address the problems experienced by men. I would like to invite people to attend the first Southwark Men's Institute to begin building a group that works for us. The group will be held at the Bussey Building in Peckham. Exact location will be depend on numbers. Hopefully see someone soon!
