Too often living with a mental illness can feel lonely and isolating because of a lack of understanding and stigma. With this group, I would like to create a sense of community for those who are going through things like depression, anxiety, substance use, bipolar, etc so that life can feel a little lighter.
We will do various activities known to help such as painting, reading, yoga, hikes, dancing, and hold discussions to talk about our struggles/goals/achievements for the week. Also, we will try to get involved in raising awareness for mental health issues. I encourage every one to write down a few things they would like to talk about at each meeting.
Every one has different limitations and understanding of mental health. Please be respectful of every ones history and story. This has to be a safe space every one.
