What we're about

This group is for anyone, and everyone, of any age, living in and around the Meon Valley area, who wants an opportunity to make new friends and to socialise in the beautiful setting of the Meon Valley! Our meetups will be social affairs - a great chance to chat, relax and meet new people. There are no restrictions on who can join.

Come to our events alone, or bring a friend or partner, everyone will be made welcome. Remember that we are all members for the same reason - to discover new adventures and to make new friends!

We aim to host a variety of different events - theatre, dinner, drinks, coffee, walks, quiz nights, live music... hopefully there will be something for everyone. If there is something in particular that you would like to do, or a venue that you would love to visit, please feel free to suggest it on the discusions page. You can also be added as an event organiser yourself if you'd like to get more involved and host events!

We look forward to meeting you at one of our next events

Last minute changes to RSVP status (e.g. less than 2 hours before the event start) will be classed as a no-show.

*All suspensions or removals are at the absolute discretion of the Organiser.

Titchfield Festival Theatre: Daphne Du Maurier's "Jamaica Inn"

Titchfield Festival Theatre

HOSTED BY DAN (NB: TOMORROW NIGHT'S PERFORMANCE IS UNHOSTED) Titchfield Festival Theatre: Jamaica Inn Nobody does Gothic like Daphne du Maurier. A decrepit inn without guests, wild moors, sinister fogs, smugglers, shipwrecks, a dashing horse thief, an albino vicar, and a murder mystery – all of the ingredients are there when orphaned Mary Yellan arrives at Jamaica Inn to live with her aunt. This unrelenting drama tells her story as she unravels the mystery of her uncle’s business, piecing together tales of depravity and deception along the Cornish coast. Daphne Du Maurier’s, Jamaica Inn is brought to life in this new stage production that is every bit as haunting as the original novel. Sure to keep an audience on the edge of their seats. ******************** Show starts at 7:30pm. Meet you all in the bar area any time from 7pm, just say you are with "Meon Valley Meetup" and give your name at the door as they will have an attendees list, no need to pay as the host will collect your money during the evening. Ticket Prices for Meon Valley Members : £8 Please arrive early as there is limited parking! The overflow carpark is at the Holiday Inn on the St. Margaret's roundabout, but please allow 5 minutes for your walk to the theatre, and REMEMBER to give your vehicle registration number to the hotel reception or you risk a parking fine!
