Ever wondered what it is like to contribute to the development of Japan’s largest marketplace app with 13 million monthly active users? Welcome to Mercari Open House for Global engineers! This event gives you an overview of Mercari and its engineering organization, as well as presentation of the future of the Mercari engineering organization from our CTO Namura Suguru. Currently around 40% of the engineering organization at Mercari are international engineers and with our diverse team, we are striving to change the way that people exchange value, in order to create a society where everyone can share resources and do the things they like. If you would like to talk directly to our engineers or are simply curious to know more about Mercari, Mercari Open House for Global engineers is the place to be. We hope to see you there!

📌Speakers

Suguru Namura, CTO, Mercari JP

After joining Cyber Agent in 2004, Namura worked on launching new services including Ameba Pigg, AWA, and AbemaTV. He joined Mercari in July 2016, and after leading development of the US version of Mercari, he took on the position of CTO in April 2017.

This meetup will be held at the Mercari Tokyo office (Roppongi Hills, Mori Tower 18F). On the day of the event, find the MercariDev reception on the Lower Lobby of Mori Tower, they will check-in guests and instruct you on how to go to the 18F. Please bring a business card to facilitate the check-in. Make sure to RSVP to the event on google forms as guest names will be checked for security purposes.
