Join us as we return to Mass Audubon's 421 acre Rocky Hill Wildlife Sanctuary. The Great Blue Herons that nested here may have moved on so we'll spend more time exploring. The Mass Audubon website describes the sanctuar as "a land of impressive ledges, large boulders, beaver ponds, vernal pools, and extensive uninterrupted woodlands. The sanctuary ... supports moose, beavers, and porcupines, as well as nearly 100 species of birds and more than 240 plant species."

This will be the *fourth* (not third) of our planned monthly visits this summer. We'll hike 2-4 miles on trails that have the usual assortment of roots and rocks. The terrain is generally rolling hills. We plan to be on the trails for 2-3 hours.

Bring binoculars if you have them. We'll bring a spotting scope.

Sorry, but dogs are not allowed on Mass Audubon Sanctuaries.

Rain, or other bad weather, will cancel this event. We'll make the decision the day before.
