Dear Metro DC Kirtan folks ~

I'm thrilled that I'll be in town from Dec. 16th to Jan. 12th and hope to see many of you at local kirtan events.  My, how Metro DC Kirtan has grown!  It's such a joy to see all the events throughout the Metro DC area blossoming so beautifully.

There have been calls to hold a kirtan/music extravaganza at the New Deal Cafe in Greenbelt (the founding venue of Metro DC Kirtan) on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 8th as a benefit for HandReach, the nonprofit I direct that provides critical medical care and rehabilitation for young burn survivors in the developing world.  (www.handreach.org)  This year is HandReach's 10th anniversary, and it would be beautiful to have an evening featuring a variety of musicians and kirtan folks to create a container of healing energy for those present and reaching out to burn and trauma survivors worldwide.

Please let me know if you'd be available that evening and can offer 1-2 songs or mantras to fill the New Deal Cafe with love and light.  This will be a super special anniversary event, not only for HandReach but for our Metro DC Kirtan community, and I can guarantee a super supportive audience and warm container of light and love, which the New Deal ALWAYS provides.

I'd love to know who among you might be able to join us that evening, either to offer a mantra or song, or just to be there to support the energy!   Jai Jai Jai!
