Here's the next chance to photograph many classic cars, cruisin' Old South Golden Road. As you can see from this video,
there's hundreds of spectators, parking lots full of classics and a chance for moving and pan-blur photos galore. I've linked a Google Earth map to show the location. The best and easiest parking is at the N/W end, just stay on 6th Ave until you get to Johnson Rd, turn right (North) and park in the strip mall at the intersection of Johnson Rd and Old South Golden Rd, S/W corner. There's a Taco Bell there, can't miss it.
Gear? A wide-angle zoom or a couple of primes (24mm-50mm), maybe a short telephoto or macro for close-ups and detail shots. Plenty of SD card space and a spare battery, these kind of events really rack up the shutter count. Since it runs from late afternoon to dark, good high-ISO performance for those 'night' shots is great. A flashlight and sweater will help, it cools off quickly after dark.
We'll meet by the Taco Bell at 4:00 PM and go cruising!
